ANIMOISM is featured in Chalk Magazine's July 2008 UAAP/NCAA issue! It features our story so far + a fashion shoot wherein we styled the DLSU Volleyball player Camille Cerveza, Green Archer rookie Josh Webb, and top models Jasmine Maierhofer and Daphne Galvan!  Aside from the Animoism feature (Haha!), you must check out the article " Occupation: Part-Time Everything" by Cez Golez about people juggling multiple careers. And if you wanna jump-start your own business, there's a feature on Businessmaker Academy! Not to mention all the hoop hotties (DLSU's Jvee Casio, Josh Webb and Maui Villanueva) and courtside babes (Sharon Yu) included in the issue! Basta, there are so much stuff to see in this issue! It has come to our attention that a certain "La Sallian" has been spreading text messages stating that the "Push the Limit Animo Spirit" phrase should be dropped for being redundant. We appreciate this concern but we just have to explain our side. This isn't the first time we have received this comment, but we are always coolheaded in explaining that it is NOT.
Inboundpass.com has a discussion explaining the word "ANIMO". Several posters from different schools pointed out that the word can mean different things, depending on how it's used. As evident in our slogans, we used the word ANIMO to mean LA SALLE (we can't use "LA SALLE" in our shirts because it's registered). Now, some might argue that Ateneo and San Beda also uses this word, and that's why at least the "ANIMO" part in our shirts is green, to symbolize La Salle (if not, the actual shirt or the background is green). Ateneo and San Beda use the word Animo in it's traditional Spanish meaning but for La Sallians, especially nowadays, Animo is being used to mean La Salle. Semantic change? Maybe. So there you have it. Our own little "press release" regarding this issue... Oh, and hey, at least admit that the slogan sounds good! Haha... Just playing :p

We would like to thank the Lasallian community for the overwhelming support you have, thus far, shown the Green Archers Basketball Team. As we inch our way to the finals, the games will inevitably reach a crescendo, and might spark taunting and, heaven forbid, fights among the audience and supporters.
In this regard, would like to remind the entire Lasallian community for calm and sobriety, to project positive energy with our cheering and to disregard the jeering and insults coming from supporters of the other teams. The Discipline Officers and other Lasallian officials are instructed to take down any material (poster, flyer, streamer, banners of any form, shape) that connotes negativism, taunts and insults other teams, officials, and supporters.
If others jeer and taunt us, let them do so without retaliation. It does not benefit us to engage in tit for tat mockery and insult which lead to nothing except ill will and hatred which clearly contradicts why the games are held in the first place.
The support of the entire Lasallian community is truly inspiring. Your support through thick and thin and through our hard-fought wins and heart wrenching losses is a constant source of strength. We trust that you will not fail us in this regard.
